Easter Fun

 We spent our Easter weekend in Tennessee, our home away from home.  It was great being surrounded by family.  I could not help but feel blessed and thankful for a God that made this all possible.  Having Abby and experiencing the love you feel for a child gave me a whole new eye-opening perspective on Easter.  As a parent I can't imagine watching my child being beaten, spit on, stabbed, mocked, and nailed to a cross.  Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice that day, and gave each of us the most treasured gift we could ever receive, eternal life. For that I am grateful.

But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:5

Saturday we spent the day with Grammy, Grandad and all of Abby's cousins on the Kiser side.  She knew just what to do when it came to hunting the eggs and had a great time doing it.

Love that little tush!

 Next came the Easter baskets and dying eggs.

Or should I say dying our hands!

Looking so grown up.

Then we had round two of egg hunting at Nana and Pap-Paw's house.

Proud of all her eggs!

Max helping.  He's always close by his baby!

This bell belonged to my grandparents, and dates back to the 1800s.  Its a special thing to have it in my parents backyard now.
Pap-Paw made a string long enough for Abby to ring it.  When she gets a little older and stronger she will love it!
