14 Months

We are embracing toddlerhood with open arms and have watched our "baby" grow up so much in the past two months.  Abby is becoming a little person that no longer wants me to carry her around everywhere.  Instead she walks, mostly runs, everywhere she wants to go.  She is always following right behind me which is a plus because I no longer have to worry about shutting doors I open or picking up things I drop.
My little tag-along, we take on the world together!

Abby has started to understand when we ask her questions or to do things.  One of her favorite questions is, "Do you want to go brush your teeth?"  Her face will light up immediately, even if she's crying about something, and will make her way to the bathroom.  Its pretty funny, and a guaranteed way to make her happy as you can see.

Another fun thing we've been up to is "organizing" our drawers and cabinets around the house.  And believe me the ones without child locks were quickly discovered!  Abby loves to go through all we will let her get her hands on.

We did some decorating for Easter.  The bunny in the picture is currently missing in action.  I have no idea where he is!
I did find some plastic eggs and an Easter basket from last year.  It has been a real hit.  Abby will pick up her eggs and collect them all in her basket.  Its pretty stinkin' cute!

We also have a new found love of cups with straws.  Its her favorite at the moment, and she even walks around holding it by her teeth like its a paci or something.  Silly girl!

Max and Abby have really become best buds.  She adores him.  Especially his kisses that she gladly opens her mouth for.  Yeah.....its gross.

Giving Max a hug which he sometimes doesn't appreciate very much since she basically puts all her body weight into it.

Bringing Max her toy, his penguin toy and a wad of paper to play with.  How thoughtful!

Just running around always keeping Mommy on her toes!

Cheesing it up!

Daddy hung all of your first year pictures.  Our little girl is growing up waaaay too fast.
Almost makes me want to start thinking about #2, but then I quickly jump off that crazy train!!

**14 Month Accomplishments**
-You can now bend over, sit down and stand up all by yourself
- Lately you've only been taking one 2-3 hour nap per day, and still sleeping around 12 hours at night
-All of your first year molars are coming in except one.  These have been a real doozy!
-Your favorite part of the day is when Daddy comes home.  You run to the door clapping, laughing and repeat dada over and over.  Its his favorite part of the day too!
- You love to be outside and going on our daily walks with Max
-You have your own little language/jabber and can say "dog", "bye bye", "dada", "mama", and "kit cat"
-You point to everything and say "eh? eh?" or "EH!!  EH!!" until you get an answer or what you want
-You can get in and out of your coupe car by yourself
-You always have to be holding Mr. Cow when we're in the car, and look for him as soon as we put you in the car seat.  You get the biggest smile on your face, squeeze him tight and pat him with your little hands.
-Still loving your books.  We go through them all every morning.
-Your current favorite foods are yogurt, frosted mini wheats, bananas, strawberries, blueberries and fruit snacks.  We go through these like crazy!
-You like to brush your hair and will do it when asked.  Mommy even gets a couple of brushes in.
-You love jewelry!   You walk around with your necklaces on and like to take them on and off.
-Still a hater of hair bows.  You can pull those things out in record time.
